Well, we are open again and looking forward to the new season. Had a good start seen a few people, which was better than December! It's kind of my month off as not many people think about caravans before Christmas, so I can get some banjo practice in, I'm getting to grips with The Ballard of Jed Campett which was the theme tune to the Beverly Hillbillies in the 60's. Its one of those tunes that every asks for, like Dueling Banjos, that was the first one I learnt!
I've got the new year illness on the way after every one gets too close and passes on all sorts of coughs, colds and I don't know what, I hope it isn't man flu!
The girls are back to school and growing up fast Aalayah is 14 next month and Erin is 7!! Where does the time go??
We have been here three years in April, it only feels like yesterday we were knocking ten bails out of the reception to get it to look half descent.
I hope this year will see a slight increase in sales as I think the word is getting around that we are here. I also hope to get into the Cornwall show as we will be able to let lots of people know where we are. The new Swift's are going well and I have a good amount of pre owned stock, ready for the new season.

Off to the Cornwall show tomorrow. I should have taken some caravans this year but missed the boat, I will be there next year showing the new Swifts! Might get a bit wet, hope not....

Sat with Tom, Winston and The main man John from Stowford, been at the NEC today selling caravans, had good day, sold a Charisma 565 which is a good six berth layout. Looking forward to tomorrow.

Well, its that time of year, Aalayah and Erin went back to school and are now both off with colds. I'v got the Exeter show and the NEC coming up, Just enough time to catch what ever they have! Oh well, I will drink plenty of orange juice and keep my fingers crossed!
We have got a nice ranger of caravans in at the moment, both new and pre owned, we need to clear some stock so pop in for a deal.
Hope to see you at the Exeter show on the 11th 12th and 13th of feb or come and find me at the NEC, I will be on the swift stand.

Got my voice back now, much to my wife's dismay.....
Got the Conqueror hand over done today, had an issue with the heating system though.
The system had an air lock which was a bit of a job to move but we got there and found out a few things on the way. (you learn somthing everyday!).
Got quite a bit of stock in at the moment, got a bit of work to do to get them on the web site.
Just in, a conqueror 540 fixed bed 2008 with mover....

Lost My Voice!!!

Great, woke up this morning, no voice at all, ideal for a salesman.
Maybe its someone trying to tell me to shut up....
Anyway, put my first Swift Conqueror on site for handover today, it looks fantastic on site. The NEC show was the best show I have ever done, We managed 13 sales, however i think the Feb NEC ( if it happens, watch this space) will be poor as many caravans were purchased to save the VAT increase.
Talking of the NEC, next years NEC in October will not be happening, instead there will be a show at the Excell in London, add comments bellow!!

Morning,
We have the NCC approved workshop status now which means we can service any make of caravan under the warrentee.
I'm off to NEC today, I will be on the Swift stand, ask for Darren from Atlantic at the desk if anyone needs me.
We have the new Challengers on site at Atlantic Caravans if the NEC is too far away, also we will be the the Exeter show in Feb with the new Swifts.
www.myidealcaravan.co.uk is all up to date, apart from the new Unicorn Milan, which I will get to whan I get back.

I have just added the new Unicorn range to myidealcaravan.co.uk.
First impressions are good, I think this is what the Pegasus should have looked like in the first place.
I would have thought that a few Pegasus purchasers will be a bit fed up at the new release.
I also think that there are one too many levels in the Bailey line up, it will be interesting to see which one suffers. In my experience there is section of the market that need to purchase the top of the range, just because it is there, this leaves the Pegasus vulnerable therefore my money is on the Unicorn range expanding and the Pegasus being dropped.
But I could be wrong!!

Its been a bit slow the last couple of weeks, just sold a Conqueror 645, so I hope that will kick things off again!
Swift in 3 weeks, looking forward to that!

Feel better today, at work and the sun is out! I am reserecting caravan faultfinder as there is a lot of info in there that will be usefull to people with older caravans. I will add new content when i have got it all published

Got the Thetford bit, it tests the cut off valve connections, it looks like these are whats giving the trouble.

Would like to say thanks to Thetford today, had a quick and efficient response to a warranty question, fault code 6 on a fridge, need to replace PCB. also possible solution to issue that we have come across on Thetford/spinflow hob units. Thermocouple breaking down, got a bit of kit coming to clean connections, should solve intermittent flame failure problem.

Got Martin from Swift coming today, hope to get some info about the new Challenger range, they say its quite somthing.
Also going to try to bend my Knee to 90 degrees 1 week after surgery..... could hurt, will let you know!!
